History and traditions set forth at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany by the 10th APSq continued at the "Bury". In the early 1970s the career field received a change in title. The Air Police became known as the Security Police. The 10th TRW in time became known as the 10th Air Base Wing still parenting the 10th SPSq. In October 1994 RAF Alconbury, England saw the deactivation of the 10th ABWg along with the 10th SPSq. November 1994 the 10th ABWg along with the, now known, 10th Security Forces Squadron was reactivated and assigned to the Air Force Academy in Colorado, USA.

As a side note: Choir Practice is a reference. In the 1970s Joseph Wambaugh (former Los Angeles Police Officer turned author) authored a novel entitled "The Choir Boys". Choir Practice, within the novel, refers to, not church choir practice, but off duty beer parties. The 10th SPSq of RAF Alconbury adopted this concept and attended many a "Choir Practice" in off duty hours. It is a tradition of the 10th SPSq that continued through the 1990s. There were many a choir boys and girls of the 10th SPSq of RAF Alconbury. Only the Chaplains did not know.
